Art Therapy

Through a variety of creative activities like painting, drawing, journaling, collage, and mixed media projects, clients are encouraged to reconnect with their inner selves, release emotional pain, and discover new ways to cope and communicate. Art therapy isn’t about artistic skill — it’s about using creativity as a tool for self-discovery, reflection, and growth.

Our art therapy sessions at Design Recovery are led by compassionate, trauma-informed facilitators who guide clients through meaningful projects designed to foster emotional awareness, build self-esteem, and support the recovery process. These sessions often reveal insights and breakthroughs that traditional talk therapy alone may not reach.

By integrating art therapy into our program, we offer clients an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with joy, and express themselves in a way that feels safe and freeing. It’s a valuable outlet for processing experiences, setting intentions, and creating meaningful symbols of hope and healing.
