Yoga

At Design Recovery, we recognize that healing from addiction and trauma happens in both the mind and the body — which is why yoga is an important part of our holistic recovery program. Yoga offers a safe, grounding practice that helps clients reconnect with their physical selves, regulate emotions, and develop mindfulness skills essential for long-term sobriety.

Using breath-work, movement, and meditation, yoga calms the nervous system, releases stored tension, and increases emotional awareness. It’s a powerful tool for reducing stress, anxiety, depression, and cravings, while fostering a deeper sense of balance and inner peace.
At Design Recovery, we integrate trauma-informed yoga sessions into our weekly schedule, making it accessible to clients of all experience levels. These classes are designed to promote safety, presence, and self-compassion while gently building strength and flexibility. Our instructors emphasize mindfulness, intentional breathing, and non-judgmental awareness — skills that naturally support recovery, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation.

Whether it’s through grounding poses, mindful movement, or restorative breath-work, yoga offers our clients a meaningful way to heal, find calm in the present moment, and reconnect with their bodies and minds as part of their recovery journey.
